How does what we see influence how we want to live? Do the world wonders we witnessed, boutique hotels briefly occupied, museums and galleries explored… find their way into our dream homes?

此次项目位于杭州，现象设计为服装设计师夫妇打造他们的“现代之家”。将业主喜好的设计提炼成简洁的设计语言，不需要过分修饰，让疏离克制的空间延伸进充满烟火气的日常之中。

In Hangzhou, XIANXIANG DESIGN helps a fashion designer couple to realize the modernist home of their dreams. XIANXIANG designers match slick interior design elements to the homeowners’ nuanced aesthetic preferences. Without much adornment, unique lived experience fills in a formerly sterile space.

玩和休息，是回家的头等大事/First Things First: Rest and Recreation

在这个住宅项目上，现象设计采用相对克制、弱化的设计，让位给空间的功能性，去除多余的装饰性。让回家是一种回归与放松的过程，是家人之间的互动，不希望被过多的家具和装饰“束缚”。

XIANXIANG design team approaches this residential project with subtlety and restraint. Excessive decoration and ostentatious furniture give way to utility and livability, opening up space for laid-back human interaction. Harmonious family dynamic rises as the driving design philosophy.

现象设计希望通过呈现一个类似画廊般的简洁空间，但与“白盒子”不同，墙面维度我们可以看到纯白、混凝土灰、原木色与大理石的层次变化，突出材质之间的碰撞，经典家具的搭配，让这个家更像一个可变化的空间，在审美上具有更好的持续性。既有大人喜欢呆的安静角落，又有孩子可以放肆玩耍的空间，同时也能满足一家人想要集体活动的心。

Taking inspiration from minimalist contemporary art galleries, the design team elevates the basic “white cube” by expanding the material dimension of the wall space. The adaptation of various colors and textures creates a layered gradation from plain white, to naked concrete, burly wood and marble. With simple yet classic furniture in the foreground, the design echoes an inclusive residential space. The married couple can enjoy a calm afternoon without compromising space for their kids to play and let loose by their side.

在材料与工艺的选择上本项目更多考虑空间的耐久和耐用性。选择那些常见、不容易过时的基础材料与工艺，例如：乳胶漆墙面阳角使用细铜条收边；客餐厅地面采用灰姑娘大理石，而儿童房与主卧地面选择橡木木地板搭配，地面材料通过简单拼配和谐共处。

The interior finish prioritizes durability of the materials and sustainability of the aesthetics. The white walls are finished with latex paint with copper strips molding. The flooring is a combination between Cinderalla grey marble in the common area, and oak wood in the kid’s room and the master bedroom.

空间中的软装部分更多浮现的是关于房主的审美喜好。由于男主人从事时装设计行业，在家具饰品的选用更多采用色彩跳跃的经典设计置于其中，如Vitra、Thonet、Artek、Avarte等经典家具品牌。

The furnishing reflects the homeowners’ personal taste. Largely influenced by their career in fashion, most of the decoration and furniture, sourced from brands such as Vitra, Thonet, Artek , Avarte, etc., takes on classic shapes and timeless color blocking.

宜动宜静，是回归也是逃离/Motion in Stillness: An Escapade at Home

走入这间房子宽阔的露台，更像是步入了微观的户外场地。这是一家人最喜欢的放松之地，甚至周末设计师夫妇还会为孩子在露台搭上一个小帐篷，一家人轻松地在绿植围绕中晒太阳聊天，无须带着诸多装备逃离住宅本身这个载体，便可以享受人与人、人与自然开放拥抱的自由感。

XIANXIANG design team takes advantage of the spacious patio, and extends the living space into the outdoor. The patio opens up a wide range of familial communication by having nature in the residence. It is a built-in playground where the family could pack light, pitch a small tent, and spend their weekend getaways among rich greenery.
